Statement of Policy
Continuity Global Solutions (Continuity) commits to continually improve the effectiveness of its security operations management system (SOMS) also referred to as a quality assurance management system (QAMS) in accordance with the requirements set out in the ANSI/ASIS PSC.1-2012 Management System for Quality of Private Security Company Operations – Requirements with Guidance for Use, ISO 18788-2015 Management System for Private Security Operations – Requirements for Guidance for Use, and ISO 9001 Quality Management standards. Our QAMS incorporates and adopts the legal obligations and recommended good practices of the Montreux Document relevant to private security companies (PSCs) and the principles of the ICoCA and UN Guiding Principles. Respect for human rights is incorporated into all our security operations activities and is part of our organization’s core principles and culture.
Continuity establishes as an enterprise-wide policy, the commitment of our organization and persons working on our behalf to conform with its responsibility to respect human rights as reflected in the provisions of its QAMS and articulated the following documents:
- International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers;
- Montreux Document on Pertinent International Legal Obligations and Good Practices for States related to Operations of Private Military and Security Companies during Armed Conflict;
- Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights; Implementing the United Nations “Protect, Respect and Remedy” Framework 2011; and
- any other applicable internationally recognized human rights commitments (e.g. Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights).
All persons working on behalf of Continuity shall be adequately trained to understand and abide by the operational and human rights expectations described in the above documents. Top management, recognizing that respect for human rights is a core business value, will review compliance to this at our business meetings.
