Continuity Global Solutions LLC (CGS) has been awarded a new contract to provide Construction Security Monitoring (CSM) services for the U.S. Air Force at Misawa Air Base, Japan. Under this 5-year, single-award IDIQ, CGS will provide Information Monitoring and Protection Services (IMPS) for the successful design, build, and accreditation of secure areas on the base.
Originally established as a Japanese Imperial Army airfield in the 1930s, Misawa Air Base in Aomori Prefecture, Japan has served U.S. forces since the end of World War II. Today, it is a combined, joint installation shared between the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Army, and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Its location makes Misawa a key military installation for the U.S. in the Indo-Pacific.
With decades of combined expertise in security, logistics, and atmospherics, CGS has supported a broad, diverse range of missions for the U.S. Government – including CSM, physical security, cybersecurity, and logistical services. Delivering critical capabilities across six continents, CGS brings a depth of experience and a global reach that few can match.
“The best practices that we’ve developed on other CSM projects around the world allow us to quickly meet any challenges on the ground in Japan and approach the project with the flexibility required by the project,” said CGS Senior Vice President of Operations, Alfred Leggett.
“This award is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the CGS team,” CGS CEO, Steve Hartsuff, noted. “Over the course of this five-year contract, we will bring our full capabilities to bear in support of the U.S. Air Force’s mission at Misawa.”
CGS is a defense and government services contractor headquartered in the U.S. with a global presence in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. CGS serves the highest levels of U.S. government and commercial enterprises around the world.
