Continuity (CGS) has been awarded a Task Order for Construction Security Monitoring Services (CSMS) in Trinidad and Tobago at the construction site for the new U.S. Embassy in Port of Spain. The 11-acre property was acquired in 2023 and construction began in 2025.
According to the U.S. Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago website, the U.S. government is investing more than $400 million in the project. Chargé d’Affaires Neidhart de Ortiz is quoted as saying, “It is not just a physical expansion, but a powerful reflection of the robust and longstanding relationship between the people and government of the United States and Trinidad and Tobago.”
This is the 18th Task Order CGS has won under the CAG/CST IDIQ program, which provides for security monitoring services at overseas construction sites and storage areas in support of the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations under the U.S. Department of State. CGS won a seat on CAG/CST in December 2021 and has now secured Task Orders for projects in Africa, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America.
“With similar recent Task Orders in Algiers, Bogota, and Cape Town, we know what it will take to secure and support the project in Port of Spain,” said CGS Senior Program Manager Roy Hernandez. “Our team is honored by the opportunity and ready for the engagement.”
“CGS has served the Department of State on over 30 projects, and our track record of success with security and support services speaks for itself,” Steve Hartsuff, CGS CEO, noted. “Every award is a new opportunity to prove that value.”
CGS is a defense and government services contractor headquartered in the U.S. with a global presence in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Oceania. CGS serves the highest levels of U.S. government and commercial enterprises around the world.
